Bertone styled 1971 USA Spec 850 Spider recently imported (september 2010) with Arizona title. A rear engined and rare car.
The car is in its original condition down to the windscreen wipers. There is no rust on the car anywhere, nor has it been patched or welded. The panel fit and shut lines are excellent.Everything works including interior lights and engine bay lights etc. The wiring is unmodified. The dash is perfect on the top surface with the original steering wheel, switches and componants. However, it has been repainted at some point in the past, from its original Verdi Chiaro 358 (green) to a dark red, possibly Rosso Corsa.
The front nose has been superficially dented in transit from the states, but the area can be accessed for repair inside the bonnet.
The whole vehicle has a uniform patina and very original but for the paint work.
I have also fitted a set of refubished and repainted Cromodora lightweight Magnesium wheels with new tyres all round. The car will be sold complete set of NOS rubber seals for the doors, windows, roof, boot and bonnet junctions. The car will be sold with numerous hard to find spare parts.The engine and gearbox is as standard with no oil leaks or signs of ill health. The car has received a full service with new leads, belts, plugs and oil. With the 900cc engine it is very economical to drive and very simple mechanically with all parts available and cheap. The car has not been restored and therefore in the very same form in which it was sold in 1971, aside from the paint and service items and therfore original.
