  • Crack in Uno Turbo 1.4 engine block?

    Hi all,

Anyone on here that knows if this is an issue, or can I keep using this engine block as it is?

It is only a support piece and not a crack that have a direct path to any lethal parts, but I am still in doubt what to do?

    Will it hold as is?

    Can it be welded?

Should I just stop dreaming and get a new block? ;-)

    .

    Hi,
I would have continued using it, if that were the only problem and engines works fine anyway? Course you can weld it, but don't know how much work there will be.
Have the same on an engine, not in my car now though, but that was not the main problem with the engine.

I have decided to find another block. Dont want to take any chances on such a dumb thing. I am putting so many hours and money into it, so it would be foolish to let a detail like this give me headache later on ;-)

Yes, a wise decision, if you are going for extreme power, or building it seriuos in that way, I would as you decided, consider another block.
